Thanks, i called cp performance and they said the rebuild kit fits all the berkely's.
Now i got to tear it apart, it sat for nine years does it matter or should it be rebuilt? Im doing the rebuild on the 454 right now and thought since its out maybe i should throw a kit in the pump? Now for a new adventure something i haven't done before

I have looked for a rebuild kit and cant find one for this pump. Is it too old or something do i need to change or update this pump?

Ok im keeping it all. I did go with the 454 but i found it in another boat. So im just gonna put the 455 back together again. Now i got three boats and a ski but only one boat runs. Ya i got some projects goin on
I do need a set of heads for the 455. Anything but j heads, i dont need smog heads.

Sounds like you guys had fun . The sea doo's are hell out here, ive had a few close encounters on the river but i aint hit one ( YET ) I just hang at the lake now telephone cove nevada side. Nice and peaceful Wish i could have met some of you guys well maybe next time, hopefully by then i will have a new motor for the boat. Looks like its gonna be next summer. O'well

455 olds f casting block .30 over $200 Crank needs to be ground $50 i also have Edelbrock intake. Hardin water pump cover and rear motor mount. I will look to see what else i got. Im going with a 454 now this needs to get out of my way.

Since i pulled out the blown engine i now have dirt oil and grease everywhere. The guy who did my upholstery said to only use water and light soap to clean it but it ain't working i need something stronger before this crap really sets in. What do you guy's use for cleaning uphostery/carpet ? Also has anybody ever use the truck bed liner for the stringer and under the motor ? I did this in my other boat, im thinking about doing it again, really looks good.

Seeing that name Big River brings back memorie's. Back in the eightie's i went to high school in parker and i used to live in Big River. Do they still have that little bar/restaurant on the river? We drank lots of beer in the grass and used to jump our bicycles of the dock. Dont know how it is now but when i was a kid their wasnt that much to do for a teenager but party And we did.

Anyone got a set of good heads laying around, just found out both of mine are cracked. I wonder who the genius was that put small valved smog heads on a boat motor? Im also selling a 96 honda civic to fund the new motor, Unless someone has a boat they will trade for it Well i had to ask

Last summer i was having problems with my WJ, so i replaced it with a American Turbine energizer kit. glad i did made it all better until i just blew my engine. Now im beached ti'l next summer. Boat = bend over and take it.

Thanks for the info, I havn't decided if im going to stay with the 455 or go with a 454. The maching shop said its a waist of money to rebuild what i have now. So it looks like i will be out of the water the rest of the summer, O'well. Gives me time to find or build something with more horse power. Giddy'up

3 years ago i bought a boat with that same set up. It sucked everyone was knocking heads. Sideways bench seats dont work. They need to be in the back of the boat, when they run down the side of the boat your head is like a wet noodle, it just flops around. Espeacially the person in the middle, needless to say the next day it went to the upholstery shop and was done up right. My boat has a gas pedal, I use it !

I need a new engine for my money pit. Last trip to the river she said uncle. I tore it all down it's allready punched 30 over so now im gonna have to go 60 unless i can find something quick. I wish i would have found this forum sooner cause tomorrow i drop off the block and heads/crank to get checked. Anybody?
