No, if you change to a non-resistor type coil, or go electronic ignition.

Which coil is that?  I bought a Mallory coil that wasn't suppose to need a resistor and it fried.  That reminds me, I need to send that back for replacement.

I got cars tires last year for $200 installed for 4. I think they wanted $90-100 each for trailer tires.

I think the trailer tires are 6 ply and that's why they cost so much more.  6 ply tires are for trucks.   ;D

Firemist Red was a Caddy color.  They had several Firemist colors and all looked like a great metal flake paint job.  I shop TCP all the time.  Great prices and service.  Yeah, photos never really do colors justice.   Looks great!

Hey Chaz,  Looks pretty darn good for the first time around.  What color is the base coat?

Looks good there CJ.  You can always paint after the season winds down.

Gain information, but apparently no one knows.

This is why I was asking how to install it in a boat.

Can any one shed some light on the proper way a wing should be or is installed on a drag boat?

Any particular brand of tires that are better than others?

36
Sounds cool but there's no big rush.  Thanks, it looks great!

I may want one for a SBC if he can pull that one off as well.

38
How much do you figure they will cost?

That's what Quickjet said as well.  SO I guess I'll take the chance and order up the adapter plates and be ready for the motor when Tom gets around to being able to send it.  Moving is a PITA.

I'll run over tomorrow and take a photo of the Stahl header flange.  They want $118.00 for the adapters but I needed to know (their question) the head degrees.  That was a new one on me.  It's been about 40 years since I messed with Chevy motors.

The motor is at JBP.  SO I can post a photo but you can what I know by looking and the 3rd photo here.

I just need the information for adapting Stahl flanged headers to the Chevy Heads.

Would the number on the heads tell the information needed?  I think they are "Bowtie" heads?

Just a quick question...  What is the difference between 18* and 23* Chevy heads?  How do you tell the difference?

I think you should put a backer plate of the same thickness as the rails on the out side of the stringer.  It'll save the wooden stringers.  Also some stringer washers or something for the head of the bolts to tighten up to.  Just my 2 cents.

You were right about keeping an eye on him, he did a great job though, I am very happy with his work. Just make sure if anyone uses him, make sure the price he quotes you is what you are paying.

GET IT IN WRITING!   ;)
