Sanger v-drives complete minus engines, nice modern boats, $1,000 OBO. There's one on HotBoat, fully restored, breathtakingly beutifull, I mean gorgous!!! for $2,750 minus engine, how is yours worth $3,000? It doesn't make any sense.
Go on eBay, look up 348 chevy's, a couple of weeks ago there was a 348 on there for a starting bid of $650, no bids on it, freshly rebuilt, and never sold.
I bought my complete boat in great shape with a tired engine for $1,000, in waaaayyyyyyy better shape than the Gaylord.
The Gaylord doesn't use modern parts, replacement parts will be difficult - at best - to find. Design is old and will be harder to get as fast as a modern hull and modern engine.
The 409's nickname is "boat anchor", no sh!t, the 348 is the exact same as a 409 but smaller, and the 348 is just as heavy, has less HP, and even harder to find parts for.
Once the Gaylord has been fully restored to new, it will never be worth as much as a modern v-drive, ever.
I've told you 3 times that I was the guy who told you your 348 was worth $3,000 and that I was WRONG and I was sorry, but you insist on putting it in your ad for the Gaylord. The only way that hull is worth $3,000 is if it has gold in it, period.
I'm sorry, but your boat isn't worth even close to $1,500 or whatever your asking for it.
How long have you been trying to sell it? Think about it.
