1978 Bahner hull and trailer, FS
« on: January 07, 2009, 12:15:00 AM »
Well guys,

Im selling my project boat/hull. I would really like to finish it but I dont have the time to complete it.
What I am selling is my 1978 18 foot full stringer bahner and trailer. I just finished stripping the boat down to nothing, doing repair on all the scratches and dings and completely repainting the entire boat. There is no motor, wiring or gauges in the boat. The only reason I yanked the gauges and wiring when I pulled the engine out was that the gauges were all discolored and broken and the wiring was all rotten. The stringers are in good shape as well with no signs or rott. I will include the seats, and cushions, but at the moment there is no jet in it. I have the jet at a shop but the guys been real flakey and hes kind of in hiding. It does have a berkely intake assy in the hull itself, and I will include the transom adapter but its for a jacuzzi jet. The trailer was totally sanded and repainted and I replaced all the lights and wiring as well as the winch. The tires have about 200 miles on them as I bought them last season when I was bringing the boat home.  Im asking $1500.00 for the boat and trailer but make me a reasonable offer and well definitely talk. I hate to see this boat go as I instantly fell in love with it but I gotta do whats best.  If interested please PM, reply or e-mail me at andyjman16@cs.com

I forgot to mention that It has 2 alum imco tanks that are being included and they are setup to go between the back of the seats and the side of the hull. Also, I have full paperwork.

Anyone? lol for $1200.00

Do you have any pics of the interior--what is its condition? Does the sale include the jet pump, or are you kind of just "writing it off"?

heres a few pics of the interior. Its ugly and dirty, but it doesnt have any major cracks in it. A lil bit of upholstry cleaner and conditioner would do wonders.  As for the jet pump, I cant even get a hold of the guy who has it. He closed up his shop and took off with a bunch of peoples stuff including entire race cars, so everyones lookin for him lol.

The boat was set up to have a BBC in it, so if you are interested I would include some Thru transom BBC indmar log headers. I have some of the hardware for them but im missing one of the pipes that goes from log to thru transom adapter. I will include the foot pedal throttle, and steering wheel, and the steering setup, but the cable looks rusted a bit but it slides in and out pretty easily. I will also include the full interior, twin side mount fuel tanks, the original motor mount setup as I will be using a rail mount with my new boat, the foreward/reverse lever and cable which are still in good shape, and a bunch of little bits and pieces that I took off. Ill also include the jacuzzi thru transom adapter for the jet and the foreward/reverse part that mounts on the jet. Ill also give you the stock BBC intake manifold, and all the rubrail mount as it is shaped to the boat.  Im very interested in selling the boat to someone who will give it a good home and put it back on the water.  BTW it is a full stringer hull and I have tested the stringers to check for rot and there isnt any that i can find. It used to live in arizona so any water in it would evaporate.
