Post by: 1smknjoe on September 19, 2010, 09:43:04 AM
Hondo jetboat w/455 olds 40. over. Rebuilt from bottom up, port n polished "c" heads with big valve job. Oil restrictors, electronic mallory setup, also new k&n air filters, and headers. I'll also throw in a offy polished highrise manifold w/2 holley carbs. Boat runs excellent & strong no problems. Will need a paint job and upolstrey. The pump is a dominator polished with a hydraulic placediverter. This boat puts on a good show with its roostertails and wheelies. Bump before I go to bed.    C'mon, somebody needs this motor WITHOUT the Olds.    I'm just trying to restore a little balance to the universe here.

$1500 ?        Maybe more . . .     ::)      Nobody wants this boat as the beginnings of one fun ride?    Y'all know you have always wanted a hydro.

Man after seeing some of those Sierra Nevada lakes I never heard of on the other board, I would so build a boat like this.  No crowds and lots of smooth water.  Living here in the I.E., I would probably have that thing sunk on the first outing.  Still can't believe someone was running a 455 in this bad boy.  :screwy:

Not my boat.   I was just trying to help the guy sell it by offering to buy the motor from whoever might want just the boat.  The owner Jose (smknjoe) never responded to me here or anywhere else I tried to contact him.   My guess is he sold the boat local but who knows.    My offer still stands -- I will be glad to take the motor off of someone's hands for $1500 +/- a bit.

I Emailed him for some better pics of the boat and never heard back from him.  I guess selling it isnt high on his list of things to do.  :sly:
Was thinking to take you up on your offer for the motor.

I have a block, intake, exhaust, and windage tray sitting in the garage.  Now there is another thread here with a complete rotating assy.   If he doesn't make a move soon I won't need it any longer.   I would much rather buy a complete runner but my budget is limited so piecing it together has been working so far.  I am just about ready to start spending money on another boat resto instead as my Olds daycruiser will never be the ski tow I want, but the Spectra will never have the "Romper Room" under the deck that me n the wife love so much.   >:D      I will PM you my home number as my cell isn't working right now.
