I stumbled across a 1984 Taylor open bow . Thought it looked cool bought and I dont know how well these were made or what. It came with a 454 . It has a Berk 12jf with a impeller, jetavator and everything for me to throw a engine in. I bought a 454 that was out of a early 70's vette. I plan on making about 500hp you guys think this will be a good combo?

I have a 1979 Taylor SJ and I love it! Well built hull. These boats were built in Oklahoma by Oscar Taylor. They have a cult following. The BR is rare as well. Check out the Taylor Boat Roost for more info. http://thetaylorboatsroost52059.yuku.com/bthetaylorboatsroost52059

Thanks, I thought this was a rare boat. I cant seem to find any info on them. I have never seen one. The boat is in decent shape, the floor and stringers are great. The pump is also in great shape with a stainless A impeller. The hull has a couple of stress cracks up front but I dont think it iis anything to worry about. Im just gonna take my time and restore it the way it should be. I will post pics over the winter.
