Hey Rusty, how's it going??? Mold is coming along fine, just waiting to cage the bottom half. Should be done and ready to build in the next two weeks. As soon as it's done I will post up some pics and a pic of the plug, it turned out really nice. I'd love to start a thread of the entire build of the first boat, starting with polishing the mold and ending with hardware changes and on the water testing.
Still alot of work to do, like setting the first trailer up. I want a very specific look that nobody still in business today can seem to produce for a reasonable amount, so i've gone to a custom fab shop to build the first one. Pumps are going thru MPD, trailers are custom build, interior is going to Premier (head interior guy for DCB) and rigging will all be one off. I think with the quality of the lamination and gel that Joel at Genesis produces, the quality of the materials and stringers that goes into them, and how straight the new mold and Bennett Bottom are, the hull should be tough to beat. The cool part is getting to work with the best of the best in the industry as far as all the "other" stuff in the boat.
Can't wait for it to be done and you'll know when it is...... It's been over a year since the project started so I feel like I've run a damn marathon and I can see the finish line in the distance... LOL
