Any body here interested in a 22' Cobalt cuddy? This big SOB is going to be in my driveway on Tues. and I need it gone asap, the interior is fair and the hull is in good cond. The gelcoat is in tact but its faded on the red, I will try and beat the darkness and take some pictures, but this new time sucks...
I will be willing to let this thing go for next to nothing......so let me know if even remotely interested, its a Merc I/O with no motor (frozen/cracked block/heads)..May let it go with a trailer, it does not have one right now...
Thanks

Yeah, I'm an hour from you, this is the perfect delta boat too ;)
I have been busier than a three legged cat covering up crap in a hurricane :D
I will get this boat home soon....... :banghead:

wanna trade for a jet? needs a ign. module (and upolstry!) Listed in classifieds as 21' mini-day.. PICS!!!
-
marceldawson70, your boat is waaaayyyy too nice to trade me for this tank.....This boat is fairly solid, it's a 1982 22' Cobalt cuddy it spent some time in the water but isn't too bad, hull is in good condition but the gel is a bit faded, I think it will polish back, but there are some random holes that should be filled. The engine and outdrive have been removed and still trying to track that stuff down...
I have not picked it up yet because I am waiting on a signed bill of sale for the origional owner, it has been sitting since '03, the trailer it's on is not the right one either, I dont know what happened to the origional...I can probably find one that fits better, this one isn't even close (has about 1200# tongue weight).
As soon as I get this thing home I will take a zillion pics and get them posted...
Good project but I'm already up to my sack on the Carrera :screwy:

That daycruiser is a nice piece........

I was looking to get a v-drive but I just found out my other boat (30' chris craft) has a bad plank! I cant afford to fix the old girl! bout 1200 plus bottom paint! so I'm thinking of cutting down to 1 good delta boat! but I think your right that cobalt is prob a tank! it's probably the one with a power front windshield! the early ones were built like DESTROYERS!!!
-
No power windshield, but I know what your talking about. Here she is, the pink is actually a salmon color that has faded, gel coat is ok...

Yup, several marinas at Lake mead, Largest man made reservoir in the country...world? I've heard 3000 and 500 miles of shoreline, I dunno it's big tho. Some slips are covered.

Quick! someone offer me a 2000 so I can buy a running v-drive! or take my jet for 2k! :banghead:

Got the boat home, no-one? Anyone? Helloooo?
This boat is in the way of progress, this would be a good delta or fishing or even delta fishing boat...Heavy bastard, wood seems good, but I will be taking a closer look today (it's 83* outside right now), this boat is even cleaner than the little UFO Sanger....
You guys all want that one now....bring a trailer and come get it........Cost is a 12 pack of MGD in bottles... (but can be talked down to cans ;) )

Hey Marcel, you say you are in the "biz"? wanna go halfsies on this thing? I will need a line on some Merc stuff ; drive, upper and lower (has transom assy from the '80's) and either the marine gear from a 350 or a used running complete 350 260hp Merc...
Lemme know, I am a certified Mercury Marine tech and can rebuild a drive if needed, even have the tools (shim guages, spanners and sockets) all ready to go...
This Cobalt is 99% complete. I even have an EZ loader trailer I could jamb under it...
-
Got some pictures of this beauty today, wish it ran, I would have taken it to the lake (friggen 87* out here)....Let me know if even remotely interested....I will make you an unbelievable deal.

No No No , your not going to get me to say I want this one. >:D
Dammmn , That thing is almost as tall as your motorhome :o . Looks like it would be an easy project for someone thats into those kind of boats though. :)
-
Super easy project, just gotta find someone with a crashed hull and a good motor, had a battery in it today, everything works! Now just gotta make it go away so I can get the Carrera off the ground :sly:
Anyone??? Anyone know anyone??? Anyone know anyone who might know someone???
Need to hurry before my neighbor gets home from overseas :screwy:

Did you park your boat in the neighbors driveway or on his lawn ? ;D

I may have a friend who may want it, the floors in his 87 21' sea ray cuddy are rotted out! He even has a eazy loader trailer! He's in richmond. his boats complete but rotted! the only time I jump in on projects like that is when I already have all the parts!

Sweet, let me know... I may have a major trade working, but the proofs in the closed deal...'knowhatamean?
-
he's keeping the sea ray, some one told him they'd repair his floor and re-carpet it for $200... :sly: you and I both know what that means! IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN! OR ITS NOT GETTING DONE RIGHT! ;D ;D

Either that, or they'll start cutting and find out there is more junk wood than good, that's been my experience... :'(
The resin and cloth cost more than $200.... :screwy:
Thanks for checking!

Nobody needs/wants a battlecruiser? I found a dude in Redwood City that has all of the neccissary marine gear to put her back together again for less than a grand, less a long block SBC....Anyone, I'm thinking about calling Rancho marine Recyclers to see if they'll take it. The price just dropped to a sixer of MGD bottles :o, better hurry though, my psycho neighbor is home, I may need to set fire to it in his driveway just to piss him off... ;D
I can come up with an EZ Loader trailer for $350 that should fit it pretty good...Lemmeknow!

Last chance to pick up an almost complete boat, gonna start pulling parts today, hopefully it will be gone Monday....No-one?
Anyone need some parts off it? It's gotta huge ass fuel tank (aluminum), full array of gauges, nice switch panels, fishing boat chair and some back to backs (needing some love), full transom assembly from an Alpha including trim pump (works), bilge blower, windshield with wipers and tons of other crap....
Lemme know, taking her apart today...
-
Cobalt is gone!!!!! ;D
Now I get to work on the Carrera! 8) BTW Gave it away for $0 :screwy: It's going to be a father/son project...
