22' Cobalt cuddy project for cheap.....
« on: November 02, 2008, 06:45:02 PM »
Any body here interested in a 22' Cobalt cuddy? This big SOB is going to be in my driveway on Tues. and I need it gone asap, the interior is fair and the hull is in good cond. The gelcoat is in tact but its faded on the red, I will try and beat the darkness and take some pictures, but this new time sucks...

I will be willing to let this thing go for next to nothing......so let me know if even remotely interested, its a Merc I/O with no motor (frozen/cracked block/heads)..May let it go with a trailer, it does not have one right now...

Thanks

marceldawson70, your boat is waaaayyyy too nice to trade me for this tank.....This boat is fairly solid, it's a 1982 22' Cobalt cuddy it spent some time in the water but isn't too bad, hull is in good condition but the gel is a bit faded, I think it will polish back, but there are some random holes that should be filled. The engine and outdrive have been removed and still trying to track that stuff down...

I have not picked it up yet because I am waiting on a signed bill of sale for the origional owner, it has been sitting since '03, the trailer it's on is not the right one either, I dont know what happened to the origional...I can probably find one that fits better, this one isn't even close (has about 1200# tongue weight).

As soon as I get this thing home I will take a zillion pics and get them posted...

Good project but I'm already up to my sack on the Carrera :screwy:

I was looking to get a v-drive but I just found out my other boat (30' chris craft) has a bad plank! I cant afford to fix the old girl! bout 1200 plus bottom paint! so I'm thinking of cutting down to 1 good delta boat! but I think your right that cobalt is prob a tank! it's probably the one with a power front windshield! the early ones were built like DESTROYERS!!!

No power windshield, but I know what your talking about. Here she is, the pink is actually a salmon color that has faded, gel coat is ok...

Got the boat home, no-one?   Anyone?    Helloooo?

This boat is in the way of progress, this would be a good delta or fishing or even delta fishing boat...Heavy bastard, wood seems good, but I will be taking a closer look today (it's 83* outside right now), this boat is even cleaner than the little UFO Sanger....

You guys all want that one now....bring a trailer and come get it........Cost is a 12 pack of MGD in bottles... (but can be talked down to cans ;) )

Hey Marcel, you say you are in the "biz"? wanna go halfsies on this thing? I will need a line on some Merc stuff ; drive, upper and lower (has transom assy from the '80's) and either the marine gear from a 350 or a used running complete 350 260hp Merc...

Lemme know, I am a certified Mercury Marine tech and can rebuild a drive if needed, even have the tools (shim guages, spanners and sockets) all ready to go...

This Cobalt is 99% complete. I even have an EZ loader trailer I could jamb under it...

Anyone??? Anyone know anyone??? Anyone know anyone who might know someone???
