Looks like someone else is going to have to change his screen name,
Or hook The Chaz up with a flat bottom O0
-
Yea, and this one is set up for a Cheby :o :banghead: . Things are changing around here, 2 prop boats and 2 jets now. Don'T know if this hull is worth trying to save but there's lots of good stuff in there (can you say V-drive Daytona ;D ;D )

I knew it ;), I was thinking Daytona also, that would be more than a little badass...... >:D

Yea, lots of useful stuff to play with. >:D >:D
Casale split case V-drive, BBChevy mounts, adjustable cav plate hardware, 2 fiberglass buckets (need covers), etc, etc . Kinda strange hull though. It has 4 stringers, glass over wood on the upper half and glass on the bottom (with balsa floors), but it has a long deck (9'2"deck on an 18' hull) so there is only room for 2 seats. Maybe an old circle boat or ski racer, looks to heavy to be a drag boat ??? .
BTW , I dont think is a 73 Eliminator, Its way to different from the jet hull in construction. I think its way older that that.

Dont worry Ralph, There will be NO Cheby powered boats in my future (I like my motors to keep there rods on the inside :)). Those mounts would never fit in the Daytona anyway.
Looks like I get the Sanford award this year :-[ :-[ .

::) Is that Daytona done yet, again. ;D

I need to move west to get a longer boating season, I guess. :banghead: My new motor is almost ready and it's suposed to snow this weekend. :banghead: Conrats on the newest elim. Are you serious about the v-drive daytona deal? Your truely outta control, I think we all need to pitch in and buy your wife/gf a Trophy for the worlds most understanding spouse. ;D
-
Glad to see you guys steppin up to the V-drive world...........
-
well jeff i hope you dont destroy that old flatty and if you strip it out i would buy the hull back from you so it doesn't go to a land fill i have plenty of other flatty hardware
thanks Bill
-
Bill, No final decisions on it yet. There is a huge amount of delam in that hull, but after the jet boat is done I'll strip it down and check to see if its worth saving or not. You know I would love to have an old wood deck flat, but not if I have to replace every piece of wood in it. It was worth it to me to buy it even if its just for parts for another project someday (like converting my Daytona).

I have been doing some investigator work and tracked down the second owner of this boat. Get this, he said this boat was built buy Eliminator in 73. The story is that the boat was a one off custom order boat and was originally built with that long wood deck :o . Looks like I may have another project ahead of me. I cant just cut up something that unique !! I'm still on the job trying to confirm the story ;) .
