I just bought this boat but don't have the time or money to do what I want with it...
It's a 1974 spectra 20. Needs carpet and seats reupholstered. Has a Berkeley 12JC jet with a jetovator...all gauges are there and wired...
The motor is a 1970s 4 bolt main BBC... The motor is currently out of the boat. I have almost everything to install it... Idmar risers, motor plates, PTO. Driveshaft. Starter,
I have the title for the boat and a bill of sale for the trailer... Both have current reg...

What is gonna keep ugly things from happening if you have to slam on your brakes while towing? To cover my ass, I would mod that trailer before sending it down the road. But that's just me.

nothing a couple straps with backup chains couldnt get you home on...
hell the guy that bought my tahiti showed up with a trailer that didnt even have a bow eye bar... i chained it up, made sure he signed the release of liability and wished him good luck. i didnt get any phone calls so im guessing he made it home fine.
for $1500 it sounds like a great deal. maybe take some pics from the inside. aluminum or fiberglass tanks, what condition is the pump, hows the floor, stringers, etc. this boat shouldve been sold already. spectras are built like tanks and this one seems to be a good start for someone.

Yes just bare hull and trailer. It is almost ready for paint. The boats gel for as badly cracked when I got it so I cleaned it up and laid a fresh layer of glass on it and it is about 80 percent faired then just needs gel or paint. I have just run out of funds to finish it. Text me if you are interested or would like to see pics as I don't make it on here often. Thanks
