Title: Bahner 18' jet project
Post by: River Dad on March 03, 2010, 09:05:24 PM
Just got this thing for some parts and figured someone might be lookin for a project.   The guy i bought it from had the lien sale paperwork for both the boat and trailer.  It's a full stringer hull with a Berk intake, loader, shoe with rideplate and cradle, etc.  Hull comes with alum tanks, ski tow, and some random stuff.  Hull seems pretty solid and the gel could use a buff, but no major damage.  One stringer has a bad spot that will need some attention, but other than that it would be a good cheap project.

Boat also comes with a rail kit (rough cut for BBC) with new rail material and feet.  The trailer is very straight but needs paint bad.  The trailer is a C channel design so it wont rot.  The center bar that the floater bar attaches to is pretty rotted out, so I would replace that one piece before paint. Other than that, it's a very nice tandem trailer with fat 9" chrome fenders with no dents or bends.  I took the wheels and tires in these pics, so it's just got some older chrome rims with decent tires.

No pump (I needed that), but it does come with a set of BBC Bassett headers and lots or random stuff.  One is pretty bent up, but could maybe be fixed.

Sorry guys, boat sold..........   I'll try to find something for ya Skip.    Besides, save your pennies.....   The new plug was just finished this week.   All I can say is the boat is (IMHO)  the best looking gullwing shape I have ever seen.  Joel and his guys do outstanding work!!!!    Every inch of the boat was gone over and the hull was capped.  The sides are smooth as glass with no waves,  the cap is straight as an arrow and the transom is so flat it could be used as a straight edge.   As soon as the bottom is double checked and tuned up,  the new mold will be cast from it.  Won't be long and there will be a few sick wingers being born  >:D

I knew you wanted it, so I bought it.
Going to take a chain saw to it in the morning. Will post pics. J/K

I need the trailer. The one you saw when Kyle and I stopped by Jim's shop is to short for the Rogers. This one is easier to modify but has more rust. The Bahner should fit on the other trailer just fine.
I didn't keep the pipes, they were for a v drive and one had been folded quite abit.

Thats a Bahner flatdeck i believe. I just finished one up, the motor was nothing special just your basic stock BBC. I put a tunnel ram with 2 600 vaccum secondary holleys and put an A/B impeller with droop and place diverter. The damn thing runs almost 80 and keeps gaining. I would of liked to keep pushing the pedal but its not mine ;D. Awesome boat BTW, this was the first flatdeck Bahner ive ever driven and I have to say i was impressed. For having only 300-350 hp thats really fukin fast IMO. Matt
