Anybody want to start cirlce racing CHEAP? I ended up with a hull after my buddy bought it for the trailer. I have a Bahner hull (no trailer) that I was told was an ex circle boat from the owner. Has driver side water dumps and a turning fin with inboard mounted steering. It's a full stringer hull that is very solid with clean original gel, all gauges and steering, a Berk pump with Russell polished tanks. Pink slip in hand looking for 700....
I think this has the Rogers bottom but I'm sure somebody that knows the Bahner / Rodgers lineage could post up a bit more info. Would make a great starting point for somebody to get out on the track. Seems fairly light weight. Better pics coming tomorrow in the daylight.

Trailer might be for sale as well. Buddy decided he wants a new one built...... 1400 for the whole deal less power. Come to think of it, I have a complete GenV BBC scoop to 10 qt pan (4 bolt pump gas hyd cam) with Bassett headers as well. Grab it all or just the hull, or just the trailer, or just the mill....... I just want it out of my way....
I'll get some more pics up tomorrow.

What would you want for it complete?

Propless is correct. The flat deck is an 18 and the bubble deck is a 19.

I just found out that my buddy bought an 89 Bahner, not sure of size. I (we) would love a quick history lesson on these boats. I find the linkage to Rogers interesting. How is/was the quality through the years?

It's 18', look how small the back seat is

Ron your right. I should have looked at the pics better. Im a little confused on this one. The flat deck Bahner is an 18. But this one doesent have the same deck on it as the others ive seen. The 18 that ive seen have the long back on them like a southwind and the deck barely has any rise to it. The paint on the boat might be making it look like a bubble. This one has a back more like a Challenger. The deck looks to me more like the 19 bahner. The dash on the 19 also has the small flat area just above the guages like a rogers. Just like this boat. I have to say im wrong on this one and im not sure what it is. They married so many boats back in the day that its hard say sometimes. Its a bad ass looking little boat though.

Mouzer, my original PM included my phone number to call me, don't get a chance to get on the site that much...... Give me a call when you can. 951-675-9249. I'll grab some quick measuremnets off it but the guy I bought it from called it a flat deck and it does seem really flat to me.
-
Does anybody know Mouzer's number... I can't find it on Craigs List and PB site keeps kicking me out when I try to go to the forums.
-
If this helps, it's 17'10" from the tip of the bow to the back of the rub rail. There is a bubble near the dash, but the deck seems very flat out in fron of the bubble. The sides near the rear seem rounded and it has some cool lines. Definately has a turning fin and driver side water dumps.
If anybody has Mouzer's number I think he only lives about 15 minutes from my shop...

PM'd you Mousers #

That's an 18 ft (17'10) Bubble deck Bahner Sprint. A friend of mine has one in Nor Cal. On average they are about 3-4 mph faster than their 19 ft counterparts. Great boat!!

If mouzer buys the boat less engine how much would you sell the bbc for?
-
Thanks guys. Got in touch with Mouzer and a sale in pending. The BBC is complete with 10 qt pan and Bassett headers. I don.t need it so I just want what I have invested. $1200. I double check the casting numbers for ya but its a mark IV.
-
Mouzer had some things come up that wouldn't allow him to buy it so its still for sale. So is the Eliminator Sprint in the back ground. Both are in very good shape and can be bought in any stage for CHEAP. Spent about 45 minutes with the buffer and it turned out super clean... Here's a few pics......

left ya a message will try to swing by..want to take a look at it,
-
called ya...will try to get by this week

i dunno man i bought my boat from jason and it was a pretty straight shot transaction. i said i wanted to come check it out that night, he told me to swing by, i did, i liked it, we dropped a motor back into it that night in like 15 minutes and i drove off with it and put money in his hand.
no clue why you're having so many problems... jason was a straight up guy.

No no, Mouzer had a few issues that came up that I totally understand. Wasn't anything he could control....
By the way, the Tahiti is looking amazing!!!! You did an outstanding job with that boat...... Congrats...

yeah its just a tahiti though... find me a vdrive day cruiser. =)
also whats a typical trailer "re-do" cost these days? you know this one is pretty rough. worth fixing it up or just grabbing a tandem that isnt all bent up?
-
I have one for sale, just waiting to see if a possible sale falls thru or not. Have a pic of it on here in the classifieds
-
Might be better to go that route money wise. We can hook you up with whatever you need but if it needs structural work it may be better to dump that one and start fresh.
-
That may be Rod Bahner's old boat. The colors look familiar and the fact it has a fin in it might mean it's an old circle boat but you can never be too sure. Bahner was a very successful racer back in the day. Hearold Bruce could tell you more stories and fill in some details. He may be better at the identity of the boat since he spen more time on the launch ramp with Bahner than I did.
