Title: F.S. 1980 Nordic
Post by: Nordie on January 05, 2010, 06:31:17 PM
So im selling the nordic

Basically everything that is included is motor that is tired, and outdrive that is tired, but i have a spare outdrive if you want is for some extra cash....of you can do a jet conversion on it if you want to....the boat is a little faded, but when i wax it...it will come right up....boat is super light and is fullstringer....i had a guy look at it, and said its a shame, because it is a rare boat, and you probably wont find another nordic rigged the way this one is....they were usually o/b or jets....there is stress cracks on the deck because the deck is so light, but the hull is very sound, and stringers are sound as well...also included is the brand new upholstery i had done for it....im going to ask 1,200 firm titles in hand and 1,500 with spare outdrive....

Oh its that boat...Damn, if this had a Merc, I would have been on it like polyester on a used car salesman  :-\

Would make a killer conversion though...If anyone buys this boat from Nordie, I can help out with almost all the pieces to convert it to a Berkeley..

As far as I know, the engine & out drive are out of it, the interior is out, but brand new to put back in.

exact situation boat is apart, but together....motor is still in it with no carb or dizzy, but all the interior is taken out and the new upholstery is laid in there...honestly the outdrive is junk i didnt care was going to convert to a jet, but i have a spare outdrive for it as well, deal is i have yet to find another nordic rigged like it, and after discussion with a guy i should never change it, but i got other projects, and havent touched the boat it is going to kill me to see it go, but it has to....the parts alone is well worth the price....SBC basset headers with adapter plates the stringers are in wonderful shape, but my loss is someone elses gain....i put the boat on craigs, and have had over 10 hits of people that want to come see it....that is a little overwhelming first guy comes tomorrow the rest friday and saturday....gives me a chance to get the rest of my goodies that are just chillen there haha...sucks cause everything is original

Well it sounds like you may get rid of it this weekend. I hope it sells so I dont have to buy it. ;D I was wondering if the motor and drive were usable in their condition. I dont need to go fast, just need to putt around on the river. Thanks, rick

Joshie loved his Nordic, give him a little break.  :-*

On the other hand, we can ALL HATE HIM for what he managed to come up with!  ;)

Talk about upgrades! Jeezus! I wanna drive it once, and only ONCE! (will scare the kids to death to even watch THAT!, but I gotta!, lol)

Gonna be a learning curve with it bro, but it can be handled easily I'm told. Talked to a guy yesterday building, restoring, a Hondo Shovelnose Hydro local here that is a wealth of information! (his is gonna run alcohol as a Lake Boat!  :screwy:)
