Title: Gaylords GOTTA go!! Cash sale now $1750 w/ V- drive and 348 ci ANYONE???
Post by: Brittishsteele on July 28, 2007, 04:08:55 PM
********Quick sale at only $1750 this weekend CASH.*******  :o
This is it again!
1960's Gaylord flat bottom 348 ci like a ?schiada? "V" drive
with trailer( old school tube type). Complete!!!! Just found out the engine #'s put it as a 1959 Chevy Impala engine. In Winchester, Ca. 92596
I was told the 348 was worth around $3000 and that rest of the hardware, trailer, and hull should bring almost $3000 so I hope the reduced price of only $1950 seems fair enough to help me get over a bit of a financial wake in the pond right now. Perfect for the visionary! This has been stored a while but, would be a fantastic restoration project and turn every head at the lake or river, might even give some whiplash at 50+ mph. No papers or tags. Really hate to see her go but, gotta move and there is no room.
Plus I've got more out there, ANYONE???????

Just a family man working hard! Hope you can help. If it's Okay??? Look more on Craigs inlandimpire. Cars (79 VW rabbit diesel & 90 Ford Taurus 4 dr.), truck (67 Ford F-250), boats (74 18' Glastron), farm equipment, small outboards 6 hspr Johnson & 4 hspr Evinrude), Large Commercial stove "Wolf", household fixtures (water and electric), ceiling fans, clothes, electronics, etc. Call and ask, Selling everything to move! Search under "skinner" in craigslist search bar.
Thank You for looking! And Thank You Socaljet boats and users!!!

Thank You very much maybe there is someone who can help us work this all out!!!!!!
Have a great day! :-)

OK. So here's the deal, I"m not trying to insult you or anything like that, this is a positive reply, or at least as positive as I can make it. $600 and I'll pick it up and pay on Sunday but you're going to have to let me know today because I can only get $300 out of my ATM card a day. That's the best that I can do.

WOW, I appreciate the offer of $600 but, I'd have to store her someplace till I have the time or $ to restore myself, I feel sure she is worth more than that but, I know where your commin' from to help! ;D Really I do!!!!!  That would just kill me!
As far as the papers, I just have and never did have anything!  I got her in trade years back (from the original owner 1st and only) and didn't get squat!  They "were" a great old couple!  And it was all they
had for the work they needed, thousands more than the "best" price on the boat so I accepted and really wanted to do her up right.  Now it just is NOT going to happen!

Last tags are 92 but, he kept up for a while then pickled her.  I'd guess around 12 years.  The induction has been WELL covered the whole time and the engine covered till last year.  I'm about tempted to spend a couple of hours to treat her right and make her run, 'cause I know she will purr!  The oil is at the right level and looks and smells perfect!  I just wish I had the time!  Moving right now and it's tight on time!
Oh sorry!!!!!!!!!! To answer your other question, the trailer is great!  I'd repack the bearings myself if someone wanted to tow her out but, the tires????  I think I have some around here, those are pretty bad now.
