I have a Bennett diverter valve pump that makes the rooster tail work on my 1976 Hondo boat, it died this summer, i replaced the switch and checked the wires all look good. motor runs if i put 12 volts to the yellow wire and ground. nothing happens when i give 12 volts to blue wire and ground,? as far as i can tell its the older model with 4 solinoids that run it up and down.
there is a yellow and blue wire coming out of the motor but the blue wire is just a nub left of it. i have a few questions, 1 will a newer pump take my old wiring? 2 is there any parts avaliable to repair it ? 3 is there any nice guy that might have a used one that your willing to part with?? a new one is way out of my price range to repair. Ijust had to replace the berkeley 12jc pump that really set this poor man back.
if anyone can help i would be very thankful !!! Kirby

They dont make a repair kit for those pumps as far as i know. Thats a throw away part, you just have to buy a new one. Same goes for the little cylinder on the nozzle that moves it up and down. Now if there is a wire broken off it might be repairable but if the solenoid or motor in the pump is bad just throw it away and get a new one. Finding a used pump is going to be hard because the only time you take it out of the boat is when its no good, unless they were switching to a manual setup. IMO i wouldnt pay much for a used box, just bite the bullet and buy a new one or your going to have the same problem.

I wouldn't throw it away, I believe Place takes them as cores.

No, Place Diverter does not take them as cores. The Bennett pump has a five year warranty on them and if you still have the reciept you can sent it in a get a new one for $45 through PD. Basically he sends them to Bennett and they have to inspect it first before anything happens. They have been making the round front style (where the two ports are on the front) for about 5 years now so if it isnt the newer style I wouldnt even try.
