Picked up this river cruiser from Scott Kornowski out in Havasu a month or so ago...I was going to keep it a secret but I just can't !!!! It's a 72 Kachina bottom that he blueprinted, then glassed a new Crusader deck on it, (Scott owns the mold for Crusader) along with capping it. It has 4 new mahogany stringers, new transom, custom aluminum tanks with fill necks in the boat, new intake/ ride and shoe set by MPD, along with a few other bells and whistles... Going to put my 468 roller motor in it and see how she does.. That's all gelcoat btw

I think he's wanting somewhere around 8k for something like this.
I did some trading, along with cash for mine. That's why I'm saying "somewhere around $8k".

Scott is one of the best in the business, you scored on that, congrats

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
Scott is a super cool guy and I'm beyond pumped to have ended up with this boat. I was at his shop with a friend of mine last year and saw this boat while he was still working on it. I fell in love with it then. Can't believe it's actually MINE now.
I will definitely try and keep progress pics flowing for you guys

I wanted to use my pearl white cocktail seats from my old Bahner. Had to French the sides for the gas fill necks though. I'm pretty happy with the way they came out.

Thanks Justin!
I'm really happy with it. I'm finding new little tricks that Scott did to the thing all the time. He does some pretty badass work.
Can't wait to get the thing done and in the water.

Pulled the boat off the trailer to overhaul the trailer.
Can't have this glittery bastard sitting on some janky lookin trailer!

I've been so swamped with work and painting lately it's hard to have time to work on my own stuff. Finally ALMOST finished the trailer... but it's done enough to get the boat back on it. Pretty happy with the way it came out. New bunks, new fender pads (still need to finish one), welded the trailer jack mount to the side, rolled the whole trailer with POR-15 gloss black then 2 part POR-15 clear coat, then pinstriped it with fire engine red and metallic silver (not done with that either).
What do you guys think?(https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1242.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fgg536%2Frriptide84%2FFullSizeRender_zpslbdn1hei.jpg&hash=c9b4879dcaaece43d0b47eee667eb4a269c82468) (http://s1242.photobucket.com/user/rriptide84/media/FullSizeRender_zpslbdn1hei.jpg.html)(https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1242.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fgg536%2Frriptide84%2FFullSizeRender%25202_zps1rh4qqcv.jpg&hash=d42b8e8aae7570d8c23cf898d6463256d0d5a20a) (http://s1242.photobucket.com/user/rriptide84/media/FullSizeRender%202_zps1rh4qqcv.jpg.html)

Sorry for being lame and lagging so hard on the thread... I've been posting my update pics on instagram/Facebook but kinda forget to post on here. Let me see if I can get you guys updated a little.
The build has been coming along fairly slow but steady. I'm trying not to tap into my 9-5 paycheck and build this whole thing with money I make pinstriping/painting/selling parts/ and hooking.. So far that is working pretty well, minus the fact that the build is taking much longer this way..
The interior is pretty much done. I used 3M industrial velco instead of glue just incase I ever decide I don't want carpet anymore.
All the gauges are Mooneyes. I will only be running mech. oil pressure, water temp, and a tach on the dash. The gauges fit in the silver lines almost like it was meant to be like that. The push button start, gas pedal, shifter, diverter, and header water valve will all run off the stringer.
I painted the pump silver metal flake and think it came out pretty bitchen. Lots and lots of sanding to prep this thing for paint. I hope it lasts!
Originally I was going to just stick the dual carb 468 that was in my old boat in this one...Well that has changed and now that 468 has 3" Crower stack injection on it!
Scored a really badass timing chain cover that Mike Kuhl built. It cost me a pretty penny but man is it COOL!!
As of right now I am finishing up with a couple odds and ends before dropping the engine in. I also have Mooneyes building me a spun aluminum surge tank so I will be able to still run my saddle tanks.
Once the engine is in then the boat will be going to B1 Racing to get double drilled, and a ride plate installed. The intake has already been machined for a ride and shoe and currently has a straight cut shoe in it so at least that part is done.
Here's some photos for you guys that haven't seen already.

I had a crack in my Dooley oil pan that I needed to fix. While the pan was off I decided to strip the black paint and repaint metallic silver then clear the piss out of it with high temp clear.. I think it looks much better now
