Vance is now a boat owner. He started his new project today with some help. Removed the main stringers, one of which was broken and pieced together, along w/ the transom, dash, and bulkhead wood. Two guys 6 hours, they got a lot done. Still needs a couple of hours of sanding some of the remaining wood veneer stuck to the transom.

I think you should be a good dad and let him have the other one in the picture. It's a lot less work.

Great start....

aaand it begins... :D

way to go Ron/Vance

Thanks guys, gotta have a project going.
Terry, if this becomes a real race boat, Vance can run the other one in Nostalgia for seat time.
Both kids know, they can take the boats out anytime.
Harold and JR thought this might be a 450 lb hull, due to the extra set of stringers. Vance and I lifted the hull off the trailer quite easily, feels pretty light.

Looks good Ron!
I'll be real curious to see pics of the transom wood and dash wood replacement process.
