Actually I would have had more pages, but I referenced 2 sav/468 Bahner Guide To Restoring A Boat. The only problem with his instruction manual is that its missing a chapter Final Assembly. Just giving you a hard time 2 sav.

Plumbing is done for now, later when I can afford it, we'll change it over to braded lines. I just can't put that kind of coin out right now. Check out the old school manual fuel selector I got from vee-driven, it matches the water valve for the headers.
clean job on the plumbing

Well you never know, I may end up with another 10 or 15 pages working out the bugs. I did lift the motor up a little on sunday, so I could drop the starter and change out the solinoid. Starter works fine now. After I got the motor back in and wired back up, tried to start it. It turned about a 1/2 revolution and locked up. Thought it had water in the cylinders. Pulled the plugs and when the left rear came out so did a shit load of gas. Called a guy and asked him how to set the floats, I think i've got them right. While i'm working on this I notice the carpet was coming up on the left side of the motor. It's soaked with gas, as it turns out one of the tanks I bought used has a very slow leak in the bottom :banghead: Siphoned the gas out of that tank and when it dries I will try some of that tank sealer. If that doesn't work I have to cut it out later this winter. The cam has been broke in, but it doesn't seem to want to idle. If I cant figure that out, I will probably take the magneto out and put in a MSD set up.

Bob, thanks for you help today and taking pics. It was cool to share this day with you and your friends. I had a great time, especially after we pumped all of the water out and tighten the hand hole cover on the jet (whoops). We've got a couple things to dial in and then maybe one more test trip.

Thanks Keith, I've put alot of hours into it the last couple of months trying to get it in the water before the season ended. It was a day filled with mixed emotions. On one hand I was excited to get in the water and on the other very nervous about all the things that could go wrong. Overall it was a very good day.

Well I'm bummed. As the day progressed the motor picked up a miss which got worse. I was hoping it was something to do with the mag but it wasn't. Looks like the cam went flat. I even doubled the amount of break in oil. Here we go again, I'll call Geoge to order a new cam and Summit for gaskets bearings etc. I'll have to do like Ralph and send the cam out for break in. Where did you post that number Ralph?
