Plumbing is done for now, later when I can afford it, we'll change it over to braded lines. I just can't put that kind of coin out right now. Check out the old school manual fuel selector I got from vee-driven, it matches the water valve for the headers.

Well you never know, I may end up with another 10 or 15 pages working out the bugs. I did lift the motor up a little on sunday, so I could drop the starter and change out the solinoid. Starter works fine now. After I got the motor back in and wired back up, tried to start it. It turned about a 1/2 revolution and locked up. Thought it had water in the cylinders. Pulled the plugs and when the left rear came out so did a shit load of gas. Called a guy and asked him how to set the floats, I think i've got them right. While i'm working on this I notice the carpet was coming up on the left side of the motor. It's soaked with gas, as it turns out one of the tanks I bought used has a very slow leak in the bottom Siphoned the gas out of that tank and when it dries I will try some of that tank sealer. If that doesn't work I have to cut it out later this winter. The cam has been broke in, but it doesn't seem to want to idle. If I cant figure that out, I will probably take the magneto out and put in a MSD set up.

yeah but you did paint and a trailer, and all of it was actual usefull info...it is a very interesting thread to read...and 76 congrats it's a very nice boat i love it

Thanks Keith, I've put alot of hours into it the last couple of months trying to get it in the water before the season ended. It was a day filled with mixed emotions. On one hand I was excited to get in the water and on the other very nervous about all the things that could go wrong. Overall it was a very good day.
