It turned out to be more work than I thaught. Went to replace the carpet and found rotten spots under the seats.
I'll add more picks as more work gets done.

Thats one good thing about smoking, I couldn't smell it very much. ;D But I did catch a wif of bad between cigarettes.

You can use a weedeater to get that foam out, it's messy but sort of fun >:D

 Looks like you have a nice hull there Marlin .   Most of them with a floor like that only have the one center stringer, looks like yours has three (stronger = better).   Is there another floor down there , looks like the bottom is still flat between the outer stringers in the third pic  ??? .

I only got the foam out of the drives side before the trash can was full. After garbage day I'll get the other side cleaned out.

Just an up date. Got all the foam out of both sides and made a pattern for the new floor.

Any of you Cali. people recognize this plate? I found it in the nose.

Finally got around to getting the new ply and cutting out the new floor yesterday. Should have it glassed in by the end of today.

Floor is in screwed down and sealed. Time for the costly part of this job the new carpet.

Those seats are badass, the colors clash though, think about how fast that boat would feel in rough water >:D

Remember only mix as much resin as you have time for. I should have used half at a time, because I lost half of what I mixed. It went from liquid to set just before I was finished.

I normally only work small areas of fiberglass at a time, and found that the Tide detergent measuring cups are great for mixing resin in.  When it hardens you can peal it out of the cup or just pitch it and start with a new one.  ;D

Finally got around to pulling the engine. The oil looked like pancake batter and the block has a large crack in it. The good news is I don't care cause I'm not going to use it. ;D

Time to get started on the swim platform. I desided to go with something a little different.
1/2" plexiglass, should look pretty cool when I'm done.

Cool idea , never had much luck with plex myself maybe that thickness will help ? I made the windshield on my Miller cruiser with tinted 3/8 years back

Finally got the swim platform done. Now just have to disassemble and paint the supports and round off the corners.

Got the lights mounted and wired this weekend. I used 12" mini LED strips.

hey Marlin, Interesting concepts.  That boat is definitely one of a kind.  I would think the plexi swimstep would be slippery...you could name the boat "Berkeley under glass".

I've been watching the wrong threads!

You might wanna really think about some anti-slip stickers on that Plexi though. Looks cool as hell, but also slippery as hell! I see an ER visit from those myself.
