Hi all. Working on a 1976 Nordic Scandia 18' 3" bubble deck "family ski boat" . Built back in the days of quick and dirty jet boat sales. It needs some (a lot) of help to make it stiffer and stronger and do what I want it to do. It's a thin lay-up so it means it is light and a little flexy. Will fix the flexy part. Not looking to go over 80 mph. 70 to 75 will be good. More like 70 plus (for a long time). A rough water lake boat for morning breakfast runs on lake Mead and playing at Parker AZ. I believe in it, but it needs some love and time and $. Mostly lots of time. Gunna run the original BBF block, Berkeley JC, and (maybe not original) Jet-o-vator. Have already done some work to it and will try to show what what's been done and will try to keep up with the project as it progresses. Nothing special. Just drivable.

Not sure what happened to this boat in it's previous life but it looks like it may have bounced off a sand bar or trailer or something. It had a broken strake, a lot of delam and broken glass along the stringers, broken kick board and separated tabbing. Going to remove and repair all the damage. Stringers are mostly good with no rot so I will just repair them and re-glass them back in proper position. Started by removing most of the bad wood and glass, removing the foam from the bow, and repairing the dash. In the last picture the cloudy white areas are the delam along the base of the stringers.
