Finally decided to start working on the float again since my unfortunate experience with a failed thrust bearing. 100% my fault for continuing to run with the bearing on the way out. It wasn't making much noise but I knew it needed to be replaced. The bad news... It pretty much ruined my pump. Good news is my pump needed to be rebuilt anyways..

It didn't look like it did anything to the motor when I tore it down but that 460 was getting pretty tired. After all I only paid $600 for the boat and was able to run it for a year but the whole boat was obviously pretty tired and worn out.

I got the boat looking pretty back over the winter when I painted it but now I've  decided it's time to do it from the ground up and get everything looking awesome. Unfortunately because of the required funds I'm going to miss this season on the water However, I'd rather do it right once than have to go back and do it again later.

Going to start with the trailer, new paint, wheels, wiring, lights, bunks, and bow stop.

Got the boat up off the trailer and started tearing it down this afternoon. More pics to come as I slowly get this thing back on the water.

Got all the new parts on the way, bearings, shackles, bushings, and led lights. Sandblasted the axles and springs to get the ready for powdercoat before I left for work Tuesday but didn't have time to get them into the oven so that's the first thing I'll do when I get back this weekend. For now, more Delta tails on my way to cincy.

Wired in the lights this afternoon and a little extra glow with the flip of a switch to make all that white paint pop lol hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to source the bushings for the springs, haven't had much luck finding the right ones.

Got a bit more done today finally. The wheels I was originally going to use didn't fit very well so I went with plan b, cleaning up the old ones. Got them blasted today and painted white, going to paint the lip green once this white dries up. Also got the bunks on. That's it for now though, out to Hawaii for the weekend

Dropped it back on the trailer today. Going to figure out some striping for too.... I laid a bunch of patterns out tonight but I haven't really found anything I like yet. I ended with some offset racing stripes that I think I like the best.

keep up the great work. Are you going to put accent stripes on your boat. Love the looks of these hulls.

Haven't decided on what I want to put on it. I keep going back and forth between a few ideas. Nothing is really exciting me too much so I'll just keel tweaking it until I get something I like.

Got a little more done today before I got called into work. Got all the glass work finished, tanks are back in, and painted the pump. Just have to sand the inside of the transom and the back third of the floor/bilge and lay down some paint then I can get the pump and engine back in so I can start work on all the new electrical and hard line plumbing.
