Title: 76 unknown hull project
Post by: Jimmyz on April 13, 2020, 04:42:27 PM
Did some trading with my brother and pulled her out of the barn after many years of sitting. Gave her a bath and started tearing it apart so that i could see what all needs replacing.

That's cool you are saving it and getting it another life. Look forward to watching the progress

Did some grinding and sanding, removed some previous bad repairs and all the dry rotted and wet wood. Getting ready for some new stringers.

Got the stringers and transom wood replaced and covered. Also replaced all the wood under the deck and fixed some old bad repairs. Will be putting the floors in tomorrow and setting the deck back on the hull. Hopefully I will get the bulkheads made and fitted by the end of the day.

Didn't get as far along today as I had hoped for. Floors took a little longer than anticipated.  But I was able to get the deck sitting over the hull. Will have some more pics tomorrow with it sitting flush and in place.

Got the deck sitting back in place and it fits better than I expected. Should get it all bonded back together this weekend.
