I was 8 years old when my dad bought his first jet boat!! and here it is ^-^ !! We gave it to my dads friend once we got the dana and i guess my dads buddy just parked it!! he recently came over to see how the shop was doing and how the dana is.. He saw i got a lil crack on the back of the dana from havasu :banghead: !! haha yes havasu, and yes last time i go on a big weekend!! but anyways he said for me to go grab it that i can have it =).. Boats been sitting since 94, so i was pretty worried about it being all rotted out. but i just checker her out and shes good to go =).. So its time i rebuild my pops first jet boat!! Cant belive my dad made me learn how to ski behind this when i was 8.. lol
Hope this pic works!!

 That would be awesome! To get to rebuild something that was your Dads and when you were growing up.
-
you must rescue that little gem! even cooler is it was your dad's and all the other history
-
i cant understand someone sticking a boat in a corner and going "hey thats a good place for me to stick this fender... and then a door.... and then a security gate thing, hey lets put some foam over here too..."
hopefully it cleans up without too much effort.
-
damn i'm jealous  i want that thing!!!
-
That's insane! Make sure you take progress pics. You could easily make a great portfolio and a little biography on it. Would make a great story. Keep us informed. I'm excited to see progress. ;D
-
1000.00 right now!!! hahah
i cant wait to see the build, and im sure the pocket book is about to be dented!
have fun

Ya i was wondering the same thing!! I unscrewed it and sure enough its another drain plug haha.. I called my dads friend after i left and tried asking him what the plug was for but he didnt understand what i was saying i guess :screwy: ... All he knows is that its a dominator pump and the reason the droop and place diverter are missing is cuz my dad had took it off in 94 and put it on the dana haha..
-
Probably so you could use a reverse cable seal and run the diverter cable through the adaptor and not drill the hull for it.......that someone apparently did anyway.
But nice to know it's a 2 door! >:D
Whats up with the posthole augers there? he getting rid of those? ;D

Oh yea, there absolute JUNK !! There the only pump ever made thats worse than a Jacuzzi YJ. And it will make your boat sink. Tell you what, you can (carefully) crate that thing up and ship it to me (before it damages your boat). Heck I'll even make the standard SCJB offer of $ 50 (to help with shipping), just so you dont have problems with it. ;)
JK, like HomeBlown57 posted, its a good pump.

"RED LOBSTER" i have never thought about it but they do look like lobsters ;D perfect name!
but now you have to tell her she has to join SCJB's so we can see the progress.
-
If we ever do decide to sell the lobster.. You get first dibs O0

Alright the time has come to let this puppy go, Figure ill give you guys first shot before I post it on Craigslist, ebay and PB.... I realllly dont want to sell it but after building the scorpion this winter I dont see my self ever rebuilding this thing any time soon.. I also have a 21 foot Ultra open bow jet(moms boat) that needs the interior completely redone, frames and all and my moms already been bugging me to get that done. Plus im gonna have to help my friend assemble the motor and pump in the dana I gave him , on top of finishing my boat!!! UUghhhh :screwy: so ya basically im putting it up in the air.. I called my dads friend Alan who gave me the boat and explained to him that I have no time to build this thing and that I need to bring it back to him.. He said he wants a bigger boat now too and to just sell it and we'll split it.. He's telling me to put it up for 5k obo and we'll see what happens.. Pretty much comes the way it is in the pics.. 1978 19ft Hondo Hydro Pickle Fork (PROJECT !!), sits on a Competetive trailer (Double axle). Has 454 thats been rained on and in for quite some time.. Dominator pump, 10-12 gallon round spun alum tanks on brackets not glassed in, alan also says he has more parts for it, new gagues, headers, full droop snoot. Boat was parked in 95 and has been sitting since. If your interested in this at all let me know. Boats located in Huntington Beach CA
Thanks Sam
