Day one February 14, FYI not the best day to bring home a new project.
-
This is last summer. I bought the boat without a motor, put a 402 in it and got 20 min of fun.

Tear down, February 2013
Found some pretty nasty damage.
After grinding the old fix out it wasn't bad at all. Took it all down just in case.. And fixed it right..
-
The side is of a stress Fracture from hitting the dock. Two coats of silk cloth rolled for her pleasure. New gel coat, yes I blocked the whole bottom.. Should be sweet

I had to click on the links to see on both PC and mac.
Are you going to re-gel the whole thing or just the bottom?

Gel just on the bottom. House of kolor on the rest.

Sanded the trailer down and painted it with polyurethane enamel. Turned out pretty good, I didn't all in 8 hrs. New LEDs, bearings, and jack
-
The hull in urethane primer. No I didn't use polyester primer on this one. This is house of kolors kd3000 it's a hybrid primer. And so far love it.
-
The kolor is hok b26 base white 3 coats over the light gray, the 3 coats of hok pbc 44 pearl base coat Snow White then 3 coats of sg100 with white ice pearl. 2oz per qt. made some extra for the motor mounts valve covers ect.
-
Laid out some very Traditional ol Skool flames and positive masked them like I was doing ghost flames, started with a lose candy black, I want to be able to see the flake thru the artwork, building very slowly I added b26 my base kolor over the top to add depth to the black fire.

psychopomp
He is a boat man that cares the dead to safe passage.
Thought this is perfect for a mural on a new twist, I've always loved the old murals on decks, me being a artist/custom painter, I had to do something Different.. He is all freehand airbrushed. Out of my head. I use a lot of Anatomy books when doing skulls and Mythological creatures.
Here you see the psychopomp starting to leave he's Thrown with the Aid of he's beaten and torn wings. The hour glass has ran dry, it's time to go.. All you hear is
