So I sold my baby. The 81 sprint as most people know. I built it and loved it but we needed something more versatile that would fit our family. Lake mead put a beating on the Sprint not to mention scared us a few times with the wind and ocean like waves. I sold the sprint with the intent of building a new pool but decided to hold off on that for a year. Started looking off and on and got tagged on this this Sport Cruiser thanks Brad for spending my money (again) lol. Looked like a clean cruiser and loved the lines of it. Went to look at it, wasn't sure if I wanted another huge project, and walked away. Thought about it and did some research, offered much lower than what was being asked and came to a good price. So here it sits in the garage.

Nice find! Had one like it a few years back great boat 👍
-
Picked it up Friday before Xmas and couldn't stand it. Pulled the interior. And then pulled a section of the floor only to find water. No Bueno.
-
So the new floor is not so new, soft spots in it. Not up to my standards. So it will get ripped out and replaced.
-
So Hal (holorinhal) came by and thinks he knows the original owner, so hopefully may find out some history and maybe get some pics of it from the early 80s.
-
Nice boat Sean. I'm sure it will be clean.

Not sure about that just yet 👀

So made some more progress today, pulling the floor and cleaning all the crud up. Got a whole pile of old interior just chillin!
-
Found out a little out about the boat from a previous owner. Turned out not to be original owner but had it for 10 or so years. Interior is original, 460 has been rebuilt, and had the deck and top half painted and cleared but the bottom half is all original. Hoping to get some old pics

Don't fight it! Come over to the darkside my son.

Nice, a full 4 stringer boat.
And Welcome to the Eliminator family.
Mine came with a 460 also, but it was grenaded, windowed and full of water. (5 gallons :o ) Not even a good anchor. In went a 454

Not much to report just cleaning stuff. Pulled the valve covers to have a look at found some nice parts! Scorpion RR 1.73's. Talked to the old the old owner and the motor was rebuilt .30 over. So it's a 466, dove-c heads, performer intake, 850 dp carb, clay smith cam and a Dooley pan . May end up running it for a while. Gonna try to get the rest of the floor out in the next week.
-
Looking good Sean. Keep the updates coming. Hope to see it on the water soon.
-

Good looking colors
-
Color sanded the deck, used 1000,1500,2000,3000 grits and then followed it with compound and Polish. Didn't get all the scratches out but made a big difference

What were you attaching the sand paper to?
Looks a hell of a lot better.

Not much to update, just sold the ford out of it the other day. Getting ready to pull the boat off the trailer. Trailer needs a serious makeover and the boats gonna get flipped and re gelled on the bottom.

That a boy! Everybody knows the only way to make a Ford go fast is to add a Chevy motor.😜
