Title: Bahner Bubbledeck Build
Post by: JordanDangerfield on January 07, 2023, 09:35:48 AM
I built this boat for a buddy a couple years back. I picked up the bare hull that had been rotting away in Palmdale.

First, it got one hell of a detail. A couple days of wet sanding and buffing and she was shiny again!

Next up, I ditched the single axle and swapped it onto a tandem axle trailer. Of course, the bunks didn?t line up so I made new bunk mounts and bunks.

The stringers, of course, were trash. I conned my buddy Brad(I forget his name on here) into lending a hand and we knocked out them out over a weekend.

From there I went to work on the interior mounts, foot throttle and diverter mounts, bilge separator, as well as glassing the tanks back in. The tanks were cleaned, sanded, and got new senders before going back in.

I rolled gray gel in the bilge and splattered it with blue gel.

I was able to track down a mild 454 and decent Berk JC for the project. I dropped in the engine using a set of four point mounts.

The interior came from another boat, but matched and fit surprisingly well.
