Carbon fiber floor project
« on: January 06, 2023, 08:17:10 PM »
So a few years back I replaced the floor in my 76 kona....it was my first floor I've ever done. I'm pretty proud that I got it done. At the time I was doing the floor I bought some orange carbon fiber composite to lay in as well as I think it's going to look nice when it's completed. I was going to do it last year but I got started doing an ls swap. Now that it's completed and I spent last summer enjoying my build it's time to finish the floor. Reason I've been dragging my feet is because I need to sand down the floors as smooth as I can get to make sure the carbon fiber lays in there right. My question is has anyone done this before have any tips or info. What resin and hardner works best? Do I lay this over matte or cloth? Or does it matter? any advice would be cool I can wait to stop hiding the floor with the carpet and make it something
