hey guys. havent been on here in a while due to building my car. Now that the car is somewhat done and summer is almost here Ive been thinking of swapping my 455 for a bbc 454. Just seeing how difficult it will be and if im gonna need to change the motor mounts ? any help will be great. oh and also i will be needing a 454 if anyone has one. let me know what you guys think

On my boat, the rear motor mount to stringer holes lined up, from olds to chev., front was different (longer/shorter?) don't remember. Everything from the driveshaft forward is different. carb. and alt. is about all that fits. Try to find a complete BBC w/ 4pt mounts and feet, big oil pan (jet) and logs or headers, etc.
Good luck
Daniel

Im planning on taking the olds out and selling it or trading it for a bbc. my motor is fresh only about 30 hours on it since complete rebuild. just looking for more speed.

I have a full set of four point mounts with feet and the pto should be laying around somewhere too. Also have a starter.
