Title: Bow foam

the Bad Foam thread got me to thinkin .
What could one use in the bow that is light weight <---- (more importantly) versus the old way of doing it which weighs a ton.

What are my options in other words.
Weight being a HUGE concern.

We have used three 5-gallon water bottles with the lids on and "foamed" them into the bow, but I am a poor focker...

That was one idea that crossed my mind.
Not a row boat persay but something inflatable.

Ping pong balls, lift the stern as high as you can, fill it as full as you can and foam the fuggers in place.

I'ts only a theory.......

I've been thinking of buying a case (24  x $2. each--3"d x 5') of those pool "noodle" foam floats and putting them in front of the bow bulkhead. That would make about 8 cu. ft. of flotation--I wonder how much would keep at least the bow floating?
