Ok so it (the jet) made it thru the UPS brown truck "guanlet" in one piece (Brad you did good packing it ,yopu follow instuctions well ! Well the bad news is the Bowls cracked

but the rest is a pretty decent purchase Josh had a little WWF match disassembling it but were going back together already ,Not sure whether we can "fix" the bowl yet or not more to follow Tom

I told ya that bowl was on there damn good....i took a few good wacks at it with a big chissle and a sledge hammer and it didnt budge.

bummer to find out about the bowl....i've got a few leads on a few used ones...I will find out more this weekend.

A little history about the pump.....It is a 12JG-A...I won it on ebay for $270 and it was in some small town between tuscon and pheonix and was labled "pickup only" ...Warlock being the great pal he is went and picked it up for me and brought it to havasu where we met up for a weekend. I caught warlock holding it up to his boat to see what his boat would look like if it wasnt so gay

...he was happy to roll around with it in the back of his truck so people wouldnt fully question his sexuality.

So tom/josh, how does the inside look? does it look like its been rebuilt before? whats the clearance? hows the shaft? I dont think theres a square inch of that pump that doesnt have silicone on it.

It was everywhere!

...and for the record it was shipped fedex ground

Definetly been rebuilt before. The impeller was shot, the thrust went out leaving the skirt looking pretty bad. It measured 7.202 and the wear ring measured 7.240 (-.010). Also looks like someone tried to smooth out the rock hit on the one exit vane. The shaft I believe is a is an early Dominator or A/T shaft that has been previously repaired/sleeved (and done well).

and don't get me started on the silicone....

Performance jet has a Handworked jg bowl for $250 if i remember right.
I am looking for another bowl myself since i sold mine

Curious if the Berkeley Dominator and Jaccuzi shafts are all the same?

Berkeley, Dominator/AT, Legend, Aggressor will all inerchange with few exceptions. There are subtle differences in the shafts like the way the key way is cut, late model shafts are generally plunge cut and oe berk shafts are milled from the side. Also Dominator/AT shafts are set up for an 1/8" washer in front of the snapring. Jacuzzi shafts are specific to each model.

Brad Josh built a "bowl saver" ring on the lathe and mill to repair the crack the jets assembled and headed back to you (after Rhonda rebox's it) lookin good ! Tom

I got your message the other night but I wasn't sure what direction I needed to go with the bowl (buy a new one vs repair it) It looks like josh did a good job repairing it. Thanks for looking into pricing for me.

As I told you on the phone I was expecting another package that had the same "exception" on the tracking info due to bad address....UPS guy showed up with that package, but not the pump....conversation went as follows:

[ups hands me the package]

me: dont you have a big heavy box for me too?

ups: [deer in headlights] uh....i was supposed to, but it didnt have your apartment number on the box, so I kicked it back to the clerk.

me: thats funny, this box doesnt have my apartment number on it either, but you figured it out?

ups: [ignores my question] what time will you be home from work tomorrow, i will bring it to you first thing.

Funny how different some of these delivery guys can be. My regular guy comes by out of his way to drop stuff off for me as early as he can, most of the time.

Along with Verizon UPS is a company I love to hate , been almost 4 weeks dealing with a broken jet sent fom New Mexico ,jack offs and insincere appologies, Today I called my UPS corporate inside lady in Atlanta

The pump showed up yesterday...in one piece.

the driver started scrambling for excuses again and i didnt even ask for one.....i didnt give the guy an ounce of shit yesterday...but he was totally defensive.

he started to blame another driver that handled his route last week because he was on vacation.....and i said...."well, it was shipped on monday for a tuesday delivery....so it had nothing to do with last week".

then he tried to throw the book at me saying its their policy that they cant deliver without a suite number ...blah blah blah....

I said "i dont care, i got my package, im happy"

..then he went on to blame the leasing office about them not cooperating with them...blah blah blah....i just walked away.

anyways...got the pump....thanks tom! looks great!
