Here's a small pro tip. If you're looking for a nice thru transom seal then go to your local electrical supply store instead of spending $35+ with a retailer like CP or settling for a cheesy version. I picked this up from American Electrical Supply in Corona for under $5. It's called a cable gland or strain relief. This one is made by Appleton and they call it a cord grip.

I decided to run the diverter cable through the TA rather than drilling an additional hole in the fiberglass.

Yeah. McMaster Carr carries them too. They also carry a nice billet looking one that's "low profile submersible"

The only down side for me was the 75.00 1/2npt drill and tap

Here's my solution to the cable packer washers. M10 flat washers are the perfect size. I just needed to clip it in half to bend it around the cable.
