Title: Cam reversion ???
Post by: JBmotorsports on May 20, 2015, 12:19:08 AM
I just encountered a Comp Cam 280 H . It's a 520 lift I believe ? I have the Imco exhaust manifolds on a 454 BBC 9.5 compression , Edelbrk , Air Gap intake . Am I going to suffer water reversion with this cam ? What would be the BEST  way to resolve this issue. If this happens ??? Thanks .

Ok .. i know one thing and thats idk sh$t.. but im fairly sure water reversion only happens when water is directly introduced into the exhaust right by ur exhaust port..with logs or ur imco's they look like a jacketed log that water cools the log and dosent go directly into the exhaust flow like a bassett header so u should be fine... if im wrong please correct me..

I've run that exact cam and much larger with no reversion problems.
