Thanks to Billy / ironman I got some work done today, he came over and made me get off the couch

.
The dash needed some help !! It was set up for center steering, and when I removed the alum pannel I could tell it would never be strong enough to survive. With the original holes and the last set of holes the dash looked like swiss cheese

. So out came the power tools

. I cut the glass from the back, and removed the old wood (not fun) while Billy and Mark / Sanger Pete supervised. After a few hours of cutting and hammering and sanding the dash wood was gone and it was ready for the new wood. I cut and trimmed a piece of scrap wood I got from my neighbor (the wood worker) . Than I went to get the glass matt and resin and remembered I used all the matt on the bulkhead

. Oh well, done for the day, but ready for the next day

.
The swiss cheese dash, and the new wood

The old stuff
