Bought this boat a few years back. Finally getting around to messing with it. I don't know much about Jet boats but have messed with a little of everything. Should be a fun adventure.
Plans are BBC, maybe a blower, new paint, new interior, redo the trailer.
I've considered ways to remove the stringer where the seats will be(going to be just a 2 seater), so I can lower my seat mounts. has anyone ever tried this? I'm thinking reinforce that 18" or so section with a custom 1/2" thick aluminum structure? Maybe pinch the stringers 2 feet forward and 2 feet backward, and then have big wide plates on the flat that connect the pinched plates? I ain't no engineer, but I feel like I could make it stronger than the wood stringer.
