Today I tore back some carpet to see what I had to deal with in the bilge of my boat. Today I drilled and filled stringer holes with Epoxy and dowels. I also counter sunk alot of little holes where various things were mounted. Any input or directional help would be great and appreciated.

I coutersank alot of holes that were fairly weathered. I countersank where the resin was white in color from stress or flex. I will fill them with polyester resin as soon as I get a syringe from the free clinic.




Tomorrow I will cut the dowels fairly flush and sand them down. Then I start sanding the whole back of the boat and get it ready for a new coat of cloth and resin over the dowels.  Then I will take the boat outside and pressure wash the whole thing and rough up the glass for a new coat of resin.

ut is on page 2 on the no wake zone. It is a 19ft. Tahiti with full strings I purchased for $600. It has a new berk. pump. etc. I plan to do all the repairs I can handle myself that Jim is walking me thru. (Thanks Jim). It is gonna get a stout 454 new interior and hopefully a coiple years before the Gel gets to bad and it gets a new coat. I also took one of the axles off and am building a new one. It was pretty bent. I will post regularly when time and $$$ allow me to work on it.

bluenun you say you took a axle off are you rebuilding the axle or the entire trailer??

blue, when you get a chance measure the axle and the type if it notched i have a large jetski trailer that i was smashed in the front and box destroyed but axle is good if same size come by and get it if your close i am going to scrap it i bought a new double trailer last november.

... take those god forsaken white walls of that poor boat trailer.

After you telling me I could handle everything myself and it was fairly easy I decided to give it a shot.
If I lived closer to you you would have the boat already. I have had some time off during the middle of the week and I can't stand just looking at it any more

As for the white walls I think they are original with the boat. I will snap some pics of how one looked when I got it home
