Title: Gauge bezels
Post by: jayare92 on February 21, 2015, 08:12:53 PM
I have the hardin marine gauges that i assume are original to the boat. They all work and i kind of dig the vintage look to them. But i would like to either paint black or polish my gauge bezels. How would i take off and re install them? Im hoping i wouldnt have to remove the gauges to do this..

You will probably find that the bezel is part of the gauge.  The best you'll be able to do would be to remove the gauges to keep from damaging the dash area, mask off the lenses and go at the bezels.

I'd try polishing first, then if you don't like the results go onto sanding and painting.

Be sure to post pics of the final version.

yea one of my bezels was coming off already and i noticed the glass is apart of the bezel. So looks like il be polishing. If i dont like how they look i may just buy new gauges. These ones work and i dig the vintage look but maybe its time to update them.
