All I can find on Jet Craft look to be some sort of white water aluminum river boats. Nothing like this. Are they worth a dang? Looking for a cheap project for my high school shop class. I'm the teacher.

I haven't heard of Jet Craft. But it looks similar to a Southwind Tunnel Dragster (SWTD). Southwind eventually changed their name to Jemcraft. I don't know if they made the SWTD under the Jemcraft name but it could be.  Sometimes the paperwork gets messed up when a boat is sold.
Is it worth a dang? As long as it has no holes, no delamination, a straight bottom, and solid stringers, it could be a great boat. Will you be able to sell it for a profit? Probably not. You might end up in the red like 99.9% of jet boat projects. A lot depends on how much work and materials you need.
It looks like a good project.
What are you looking to do for the project? Glass work, paint, motor and jet rebuild?

First of all welcome to the madness! I am no pro but by the looks of the work in the pump and transom plate and cave plates ..there's quite a bit of worth right there . Not to mention the duel axcel trailer. I wish I had something like that in my high school shop class !!! No pink slips for boats here(TN). I just got a bill of sale. I did find a little metal tag laying down in the motor/pump area. I googled it and USCG the number with no luck. I don't think it is what I'm looking for. I'll keep it around anyway. I'm gonna go try and register the thing before I start tooling on it to hard.

Couple of questions for getting this thing down the lake. I bought it "less motor". It has a rail kit, but no motor mounts. I'm going with a BBC. What are some options for motor mounts? Also, what are my options for the driveshaft setup?

I know it's been a while, but this has made it to the top of the project list. Finally...... I'll try to keep it updated as much as possible. Maybe I'll start a build thread??
