Here's some of the latest fiddlin.........

Hat's off to the Punk Ass kid of mine.....he pointed out that the Bassetts weren't even and stuck out too far....he's so regoddamn anal about things I have no idea where it comes from...

Man I love this kid.....

What a difference and they are knats ass straight with the lines of the boat...........

Interior of what use to be in the boat.......not gonna clear the blower and goodies

Sectioned 8" to make room for the blower belt and some additional room for fat boy (me)

Caught Jan making vroom vroom noises so she's getting stoked to get this wet.....

Took a week off over the 16th so I can thrash on the boat. First thing is gonna be to transfer the wood patterns over to new wood and resin them up then it'll be off to the upholster. It's getting close........

Your boat is sick Jork. Top of the line craftsmanship. What did you punk ass kid use to cut the headers. It looks like a large tubing cutter in the picture. Hard to tell though. Great job.

Bingo!!! We have a winner. It's something I used on his old motocross bike to do his top end on and it's been setting in the tool box ever since. I'd love to take credit but it was all his idea and it worked fantastic. Cut it with a good old fashioned hacksaw and then slipped in my silencers that were perfectly square and used a portable belt sander to make them perfect. Worked like a champ....Knew that thing was too good to throw away (I have tapered compressors now, only way to go.)

Got it Tommy, I just need to see if mine is worth saving/modifying given it's more bent up than I had realized or if I just need to make a new one. I also have some ideas to make the fins a bit swoopier (is that a word?).

Phweew, that thing was K-rooked. Got the stock fins cut off, ground down and straighted. Took way too much time.

Here's what I'm thinking Tommy, on your and Corndogs fins, how deep did you make them? I went 3" and obviously a touch longer. Whatcha think oh wise one???

John everything is looking Great ! not sure how/what the rounded rears of the fins will or won't do ?? leave enough room on the outboard edges to get a strong weld (consult Billy maybe?) Tom

John, just a thought about the fins. Would it be posible to weld the fins to a small piese of flat plate (to forn an L) than mount them to the top of the ride plate ? That way you could make a few sets and try different shapes and sizes without much work.

BTW, sorry about the drool marks on your pump brace

Now theres an idea, but insted of welding it get some Architectural angle so you can make them out of one piece, then just inlet the sides of the plate the thickness of the material.

Heres some 3 x 3 x 3/16 all the way at the bottom

Okay, I'm gonna have to fly the rooke card here and admit you guys have cornfused me. Can you explain it more??? PS...incase it's not obvious, I havent cut any fins yet. That is just a foamfiber board that I use to make my templates before I start cutting. They use it to protect documents/photos when their shipped and I always grab onto some when it's handy. The shapes of the fins are completely up for debate.

Thanks everybody......ps...I got the pump plate wetsanded and polished, the wood seat interior framed up and have begun laying on resin and glass to lock it together and started laying the new carpet before I ran out of energy and gave up. I'll post up pics tomorrow..
