Interior dudes get busy this time of the year, but not returning calls is just plain rude!

Yup, called my "former" interiour dude two times, sent him pics of the wood, emailed him 3 times.....told me on the phone that he'd get back to me in a flash (1 week ago).... I done with him.

PM'd Lucky Stiff (The Great Stiff One) and he responded instantly with suggestions and answer to my questions, has called me a couple times since with ideas and advice and is all over it.  Needless to say, he got my business.  Great guy and I can't wait to get the stuff posted up in the hull.  It's gonna look killer!!!!

Hot damn! Pulled into the driveway coming back from vacation and opened the box that was shipped from Lucky Stiffs company.

While it may not look it in the pics, the colors are spot on and the material is NICE!!!

LuckyStiff not only gave me a great product but he went out of the way to make sure I was not only happy but that I was in the loop as far as progress and shipping.  I figured that if I was half as happy with the seats as I was with his service I was gonna be thrilled. Turns out the seats are BITCHIN!

He spent hours on the computer and phone with me trying to find a color and grain pattern that I liked that matched the colors (Viper Blue Metallic Pearl and Pure White) and let me tell you, he nailed it!

Thanks Skip, you're a class act ............john

Seats are just mocked up but it gives you a hint of what it's gonna look like.

Thanks so much guys.  While I'm in the land of Offshore boats and Jet's are a rarity, the folks like Skip at HotSeat and Josh, Rhonda. Grumpy at JetBoatPerformance and Tony & Jerry at Skagen Boats have not only helped me make this happen but have encouraged me along the way.  Hat's off to all of them, they've gone beyond a supplier of service/parts and are now part of this POS family.  Jan has already started thinking that she wants to put together a Thank You board that lists everyone. That is in no way intended to slight that fact that all of you that are 2,000 miles away have welcomed me into this gang of misfits and provided me the encouragement to keep at this even though I'm WAY over my head.........

PS.....Just got an invite from a guy that is willing to tow me by water to a Performance Boat Redevous that he puts on if it's not done by the end of the month. Regardless, if I go I'll make sure these fine folks mentioned above get plenty of props in a sea of 36' cats and 40+' V's that tend to show up for it..........

John (ie, soon to be wet)

I wish but thanks.  Decided to drop kick the wiring (that I did a number of years ago) to switch it over to tinned marine wire with a ton of Painless Wiring waterproof connects. Still gonna take a bit to get thru all that but I'm close. Also gonna modify my SS lines a bit to clean things up. That killer plate tha Tommy and the gang got me for the pump is serving as a nice mounting point for a number of things like the filter/water separator. Just gotta redo the SS lines.

Regardless, I'm so close I can taste it............john

Groan, well, I'm still struggling with this.  My chance of just mounting it to the plate is gonna strike out cuz it would be on the drivers side where the exhaust port is too close to the case of the alternator.

Can't move it to the passenger side of the plate cuz there is not enough metal to mount to due to the plate design.

Aesthetically (yah it's a word that means bitchin looking. I looked it up), I'd prefer to mount it similar to what I have fabbed up for the pic but not quite as ghetto.

Anybody seen a mount out there that puts the alternator roughly in this location or am I on my own and gonna have to fab one up myself?

Thanks for the help guys..... I'm so close I can taste it....John

John, my boat's not nearly as sano as yours but here's how I did mine

Bolt through the alt into the head, generic alt mounting arm bolted to lower plate, swung into position to hold alt in place, hasn't let me down so far.

I'm liking this approach. Also, Ralphs bolt on plate mounted tension piece.   Hmmmmm, might give that a try this weekend.

Many thanks to Skip and Ralph, I think that's gonna work.
