Wow, i came home sick from work today and followed this from page 1! this is way insane! this could be published as a do-it-your-self manual! I can see people reading and DROOLING! My hat is off as I fall to my knees and start chanting, WERE NOT WORTHY!!!! major props to you.... If my boat wasnt at work I would go in bolt on the exaust and fire it up! I'v only been on mine for 1 1/2 month! but I work for a Rinker dealership (no insperation!) ok but now!!! You da man! Marcel
Aw man, while I appreciate the thoughts and kind words, I'll be honest with you and say that I'm making this stuff up as I go and have learned a TON through this project. Folks like Tommy, Josh and Rhonda at Jet Boat Performance and guys like Skip at HOTSEAT have helped more than you can even imagine. If this thing ever runs will be a miracle but regardless, I've enjoyed ever minute of the journey.
Now, back to business. wired in the new Optima battery. picked up two waterproof inline fuses. One feeds the bilgepump that is triggered by a mercury float switch and is always on, ant the other that feeds the line that runs to the dash. From the dash it feeds a fuse panel that is mounted under the deck (silicone adhesive and short screws that were scary to run into the wood of the deck).
Also modded the wire from the alt to the starter. I think it looks better. Ran heat shrink connectors, and mulitple layers of heatshrink before I ran the wire in the old nitrous line. I also sanded the SS braided line back from the edge of the nylon line to remove the risk of rub through. Should be killer and IMHO, looks much better.
Thats a -10 cushion clamp and a -4 cushion clamp tied together is a SS allen bolt. Way overkill but I think it looks better......
