Thanks Rebel. I'm using a 1.4 tip. The blue was very low hiding but after talking to them and getting a tip by 1/2ing the reducer and using some activator it covered much better. Unfortunately, I had some issues of the SharkSkin overspray plastic marbleing the blue that I just can't let slide. Sanded it back with some 1000 grit and am going to fog on 1 or 2 coats to see if I can bury the marks left from trying to get rid of the marbleing.
Well, not that it can't be done, but the norm for baseclear is a 1.6-1.8 tip, still, you should make a beauty job with that tip.
Wish they told ya about the low hiding, and a extra coat of base always looks better with hardner

... now as far as plastic goes
GRrrrrrrr is all I can say. Unless its cleaned well, specialy after sanding (it releases the oils inside) it always makes a mess. Even the pro's
sand it down from time to time to build on again. Seems some people don't tell their painters they used Armorall on the Tires

(BIG MESS)
Still have to say your boy did a great job of taping... and once that clear hits the flat base you lay down, You'll be smilin at all that hard work

She's going to look great... can't wait to see what else makes her shine, lol.
Did someone say... BLOWER? nice
