Title: I need some wiring help.
Post by: Crusader83 on June 02, 2014, 06:58:35 PM
I need to re-wire my boat. I'm tired of chasing wiring gremlins.

Can you guys post some pictures of your engine and dash wiring?

I would like to get away from the old school block terminal on the engine and do a weathertight 9 terminal plug where that should be and put a 6 terminal fuse panel behind the dash. I really just want to clean it up and hide the wires. I also want to move the starter relay down to the starter and not on the back of the engine.

What do you guys think? Any help would be great.

my custom fused and bosch relay panel with led's that manual override when you push on them.  i still have bar with ring terminals but they're hidden inside the box.

i personally wouldnt put your fuse panel under the dash.  keep it in the rear close to the battery.  i chose to use relays so i could use much smaller gauge wire throughout the front of the boat and keep all the higher gauge back at the rear of the boat where its needed.

Do you use a switch to ground relay circuit in your setup?  Very nice work BTW.
