Post by: Hall198 on October 02, 2018, 07:34:13 AM
Has anyone attempted to an/or have info of do's and don't... Even a briefing of principal is of value... I'm gonna attempt my take at one and wanted some input. Thanks...

I'll take that as a discussion not wanted to drop in on and do again... At any rate I have started it and this is my task at hand at it...

Looks more like a loader then inducer.

Your right as I failed to catch my rookie ass on terminology I been reading so much literature even my brain needs a break! At any rate loader by gosh! Has any one built or build these as 500hp an below are there any key components that truly factor in +/- areas when building them...

From start to finish this is what I built maybe scrape maybe something, either way I can only learn from reading and listening but I'll truly understand when I do it!

There’re quite a few folks on that have a lot more knowledge then me, and hopefully they’ll chime in. But I’ll throw in my .02. If you’re running less than 500hp with that style of loader I think you’ll do some damage to your pump, and possible damage to your engine. You’d be overloading the pump without having the ponies move any water.
To answer your question I’m sure people have made their own loaders, who they are, that I don’t know. Reach out to Flusher, mash in it (Dan’l), Derrick, GT jets (Glen). Tons of knowledge with these folks among others.

I built this one . Just make sure you use 5/16 hardened Allen bolts

Make sure your welds are strong because if that loader comes loose . Bad shit happens real quick . Flipped boat or people getting tossed out faster than you can blink a eye .

Your ramps should be wider and more closely follow the shape of the intake roof.  You have quite a rollercoaster going on there.  It will be very difficult for the water to follow that path.

The best advice I have heard regarding flow:  you can't force it to go where you want it to go.  You have to help it go where IT wants to go.

Sounds like I'll make some changes hang that one on the wall, back to the grind stone I go. Thanks for the feedback back...
