Torq thrusts are probably the coolest things out there.  :thumb up:
I don't know if you saw the ones River Dad had for sale awhile ago, but they were pretty cool.

I've seen that white dually in my grocery store parking lot. Can't miss that huge Capogni sticker.

ha ha I love the torq thrusts, and my truck gets around 😜, I'm from chino so assuming you saw it around there?? X2 on riverdads wheels, if your doing a total trailer rehab those fatties would be my choice with the wide fenders.

I'm liking those centerlines. Polished Torq Thrusts are great but pricey for now.

Kinda hard to see, but these were called American Rodmasters. A very good knockoff of Halibrand Sprints but were discontinued. Damn this boat/trailer package looked good..... one of my favorites.

It took a lot of time to get those looking like that. I had to hammer out a few dents in the domes and went though a lot of windex and ultra fine steel wool but they turned out nice.

Very nice totes gentlemen. I'm towards the end of a total rehab on my old Gireaux trailer, wide fenders, lights and powder coating. I went old school to go with our boat-Supremes in a 15 x 7 with 225/60/15 radial TA's.

Is that the cole up on CL right now? If so that's one celebs boat and I wish my girl would let me get another closed bow fast boat. She's all about taking more people and crap with us...
I told her they want to go they can get their own boat. And try to keep up! Haha

Uni-lug...
get the right lug nuts, has a shank and washer.

Mash is right. Seems like many old school trailer rims have that setup and the shank style lug is crucial.

Not to hijack this thread but my axles are threaded, they don't have studs. So do I need to install some 1/2-20 studs first then use the uni-lug

Unless they make a lug "bolt" with a shank. Seems like a possibility.

Use some grade 8 hardened bolts from Home Depot Speed and Marine for studs, usually cap (Allen head) bolts.

And the right shanked lug nuts & washers.

I would just use threaded racing studs. Be sure to get the RIGHT washers as there are a few different types of unilug washers (offset and centered, and washer OD). Matching shank-style lug nuts are required.... make sure they aren't too long and bottom out.
Title: Re: Let's see your trailer rims
Post by: JB1314 on August 14, 2015, 05:13:16 PM
I looked into the unilug a little and I'm not sure what I need. I know the the studs are 1/2-20 and the bolt pattern is 5x4.5. Do I just need to match those specs?

Post a close up pic of the holes with the wheels off. Look on the backside for any name cast in as well.

I have slots on my 56... you must MIC the hole for proper size. Average mag lug shoulder thickness is around .680+. Measure the depth of hole for depth of lug shoulder. Average depth is around .500+. Factor in the supplied centered/offset washer depending if you have uni's or true bolt pattern. Call summit with those specs an make them get a set an MIC them before sending. I bought a set from them advertised .687 an they came in at .682. I called an it got taken care of fast.
