I am looking for some advise on where to take my 454 bbc and heads to have them fluxed and machined. I live in San Jacinto and I was wondering if there was anywhere local.

El cajon is not that far. I am just looking for someone that's going to do a good job and it sounds like that's the place to go. What are their rates?

Rates are reasonable for good quality work, in my own opinion. Check his work out on Facebook

I had a great first time experience at Osborne Machine in Murrieta. Paul was honest to the point of talking himself out of work I was there for. That goes miles in my book.

its a bit of a drive but Rod Phillips @ Auto Dynamic Balancing in Irwindale is great. He has done a lot for us over the years.

Spending twice as much on machine work from a machinist that gets it will save you 10 times as much later. If you can't afford Bostick or equivalent, buy a used motor to hold you over until you can. If you decide to go with someone else, get in touch with me or ?? And I'll explain what you need to watch out for, spec, and check for when the job is done. Most automotive machine shops do shit for work....but they make it shiney and pretty so you don't ask questions

Ok thanks for the help. I think I am going to go with bostick. I am going to start looking into getting everything together to get to them. I want to use a place that is credible and trust. I want it done right. I want to be able to use my boat and not have to be working on it all the time. I want to be able to start making it out to the get togethers and meet everyone.

I have plenty of high dollar metrology tools for loan (with a deposit) to verify the work you ask for...lemme know when you get stuff back...we can make sure it's right

Yeah he does all of our machine work. Dougans racing engines will be handling our motor work for the next season.
