Sounds easy enough. Guess using two different hoses to make the connection isn't a big deal.

obviously it would be best if you didnt have to... i wonder if the reason it let loose is because it was the only thing holding the gas tank in?

Possibly, but the 1.5 -> 2.5 chunk wasn't long enough to have a hose clamp properly secured either. It basically just pulled out.

I'll make sure to get enough to double clamp both ends.

Got the bad side done with all new USCG hose and stainless clamps. Cut the full down, sleeved it with 1.75 hose then connected tank to fill with stainless clamps. It's amazing how rigid that USCG hose is! Was a pain to get it under the gunwale, but I'm happy to have the proper hose in there. Now to do the otherwise and secure the tanks.
