No I have them both why?  The woods super water logged on both of them though.. You can see both of the seats on my very fist pic I posted on here..  Next step for me is to pull the motor and rip out the entire floor and build a new one, then move on to re-making all the seat frames and side panels and so on..

I'd through bolt the swimstep brackets at the top in case a big boy climbs up the back.

I used some 1/4 aluminum for backing.

Cause I have one I was gonna make a office chair out of , but I lost interest and it has been on the shelf in the garage for the last 5 years. And in one of your pic's it looked like one was missing.

My southwind was set up just like this. There was a toggle switch for the electrical pump under the dash. I found when the electrical pump was not running, it struggled to idle at times. I assume the mechanical pump might not have enough draw on bigger boats with bigger tanks. The electrical pump helps prime the carb too.

Haha I just noticed the clear tube, not sure what the purpose was on that.. And from what I remember the fuel system starts from the tank lines and goes to a fuel tank selector (elec) and then to a small elec pump then to the mechanical pump.. And Like Brad said the small elec pump is used to help prime the mechanical pump..

Anyone know how painting the exhaust manifolds/water logs would hold up?

Im sure powder coating would be stronger but that costs money  haha.. I guess theres only one way to find out  :screwy:.. I think im going the same route on this as I did the scorpion, No chrome and no polished alum. Ill paint as much as I can and powder coat what I have too..

Thanks for all the comments, questions, and input.. Sometimes with a build this major the small things can pass you by fast, so keep all the input coming GOOD OR BAD ..

Just use high temp engine paint. The logs don't get that hot at all , you can put coolers and life jackets right up against them and not melt them.

Depending on how crazy you are going to get with the flake, you will have to drill out the tip in your spray gun nozle( just buy a cheapo HF gun a ruin it) and it will take a ton of clear. I say give it a shot Flake is bitchin

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

Try to keep whatever plywood for seats and bases in tact so you'll have patterns.

Yup, saving it all so I can just trace it out.. Saving all the trick cut out carpet pieces too so I can copy those as well...  This things moving along pretty smooth, I brought home a engine stand from work so I can pull the motor next week. I should have the whole boat gutted by next weekend ( motor, gauges, steering, floor, swim steps, bow light and rails ). Hey Big Johnson word on the block is that you have a hook up on carpet? How much do you think im looking at in material to carpet the whole boat? Ill install it, just trying to get a feel for what everythings gonna be costing on this build. I decided to go with the rub rail too  this things going to be a party machine haha..
