Title: My 79 southwind project

Just picked this up last weekend it has a 455 olds and a berkley pump. Don't know to much about boats and can use advice. Also just picked up the carb (Edelbrock 650) and scoop this weekend

Nice float, good luck with the build.  That carb is small, if you want it to move when you step on it you gotta be in the 800 -850 plus range.. a 750 will get you around tho. Dual carbs you’ll be fine with 750s.. welcome to the bust out another thousand club lol..

Also what's a good size cam I can put in it and what necessary motor mods I should do so I don't go boom?
